As an architectural element, the muqarnas represent the ability to carry the weight of its extensive load at a single point and to be fixed. From the symbolical perspective, each layer of the muqarnas corresponds to a level, a stage in human life. 

But each person goes through different lives, experiences, and degradations, carries life within these social formations, and stabilizes themselves.
